Language as cover
Resilience. Growth mindset. Positive energy. Inner strength. These words are not wrong. They describe real capabilities, real states, real development. But language is also a tool for displacement. When an organisation has processes that wear people down, and the response is a resilience workshop, something has just been obscured: the actual problem.
This is rarely deliberate. It is usually more convenient. A training programme has a booking date. A structural problem does not. A mindset workshop has a final day. A culture shift does not. So the choice tends toward whatever feels like a solution without requiring one.

Those who listen carefully notice it in the direction: development that points inward is valuable. Development that points exclusively inward, while everything on the outside stays unchanged, deserves a question.
